Temperament

Tiger Lily is fun loving, playful, and goofy. She thrives best with a schedule and routine. She is at the ripe age of testing her boundaries, but quickly understanding what’s right and wrong. She’s desperate to have fun and eager to please. She suffers from a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) but with some crate work, she is overcoming those insecurities.

Needs

Tiger Lily is your typical puppy. She will do well in a home with kids or no kids, playful dogs or solo with neighborhood dog friends. She needs a structured and active family. A couple or family ready to give her routine, and set down rules and boundaries, but also include her in family fun, walks, hikes, and adventures!

Given her likely breed types, Tiger Lily would do best with Balanced Training, and remote collar training would be a total blast with this pup!

Training

All dogs rescued by FAVOR are crate trained, sleeping in the crate from 9pm-6am, and accustomed to two 2-3 hour crate naps a day. Dogs are also potty trained with doggie door access. There is ALWAYS a transition period where crate cries and potty accidents WILL HAPPEN in a new home, as the dog transitions to new rules and ways to communicate.

As with ANY and ALL dogs, this dog would benefit GREATLY from professional training to continue to work on good leash manners, place command, and off-leash recall. We always recommend keeping all dogs crated when they are alone to keep them putting themselves in danger (chewing on cords, eating things that can get stuck in their stomachs, etc…) but also to use the crate as a place to provide them with structure and a “room” of their own.

Vetting

All dogs rescued by FAVOR are:

  • Spayed/Neutered

  • Microchipped

  • Vaccinated for Rabies, Bortedella (kennel cough), DA2PL (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and parvovirus)

  • Up-to-Date on Flea/Tick Topical Preventative

  • Up-to-Date on Heartworm Preventative

  • Dewormed

Adopters immediate responsibility will include:

  • Required: Puppies WILL require DA2PL 3rd booster shots when age appropriate (between 14-18 weeks of age) at the expense of the adopter

  • Optional: LYME-LEPTO combination vaccine at the expense of the adopter
