Frisky - ADOPTED
Meet Frisky
Frisky is approximately 5-6 years old, and a wonderfully spirited Jack Russell terrier. She was surrendered to FAVOR by an elderly couple that did not give her the proper care. While there was no abuse, they did treat her like a yard dog, giving her very little attention and TLC.
Despite the neglect, Frisky is a lover of all humans that want to give her attention. She’s a very quiet and calm shadow that follows her foster Mom around. She’s playful, but not overly active. Don’t let the whiting on her face fool you (due to poor diet and cheap kibble), she’s young, and still has plenty of skip in the step.

Temperament
Frisky is pretty easy going canine friend. She’s not super playful with other dogs, but respects the dogs in the house. She likes to follow her humans footsteps, and is pretty low maintenance when it comes to her needs. She’s ready for walks, adventures, and lots of love.
While Frisky has no problem with children, we would love to see her in a quieter house where she can get all the attention without constant kid chaos.
Needs
We would love to see Frisky in a quiet home that gives her daily walks, car adventures, and sweet cuddles. Frisky would love to snuggle at your feet while you work, waiting for a walk to the coffee shop, then walk home for his next nap, followed by a little playtime and fun time.
Adopters should be ready to start PROFESSIONAL training (we can provide recommendations as needed) to work on nice leash manners and heel-side walking, dog socialization, and off-leash fun!
Training
All dogs rescued by FAVOR are crate trained, sleeping in the crate from 9pm-6am, and accustomed to some day crate time as well. Dogs are also potty trained with doggie door access. There is ALWAYS a transition period where crate cries and potty accidents WILL HAPPEN in a new home, as the dog transitions to new rules and ways to communicate.
As with ANY and ALL dogs, this dog would benefit GREATLY from professional training to continue to work on good leash manners, place command, and off-leash recall. We always recommend keeping young dogs crated when they are alone to keep them putting themselves in danger (chewing on cords, eating things that can get stuck in their stomachs, etc…)
Vetting
All dogs rescued by FAVOR are spayed/neutered and microchipped before adoption, as well as vaccinated for rabies, bortedella, DA2PL (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and parvovirus). They are up-to-date on flea/tick topical treatment, heartworm medication, and de-worming treatment (if necessary).
Puppies WILL require DA2PL 3rd booster shots when age appropriate (between 14-18 weeks of age) at the expense of the adopter. It is also recommended to get the LYME-LEPTO combination vaccine in New England at the expense of the adopter.
