Introducing the Breakfast Bunch

These puppies were born on January 8th, and were surrendered to FAVOR 10 days later, with their mama, Maple. They have been with Maple ever since, and will be ready for their fur-ever families mid April. Maple is a wonderful Mom to her young, caring, protecting, and teaching them, and now she too is ready for them to grow up and move out. See photos of the parents below!

Temperment

These are typical puppies who were lucky enough to be in our foster care from the start. They haven’t been through any trauma, and with proper socialization and training, they will be great family members. More personality details below.

Needs

These puppies will be best suited to an to an active family or couple, willing to give them regular walks, runs, trails, and adventures, and plenty of playtime. They should continue socialization with other dogs through puppy classes or playdates. Adopters should be ready to start training around five months old to continue proper dog socialization, work on nice leash manners, and prepare for off-leash fun.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, we will only consider applicants where one adult has a more flexible schedule, as puppies are a lot of work, and will require potty breaks, exercise, training and continued human and dog socialization as they grow up.

Crate/Potty Training

All dogs rescued by FAVOR are crate trained, sleeping in the crate from 9pm-6am, and accustomed to some day crate time as well. Dogs are also potty trained with doggie door access. There is ALWAYS a transition period where crate cries and potty accidents will happen in a new home, as the dog transitions to new rules and ways to communicate.

We always recommend keeping young dogs crated when they are alone to keep them putting themselves in danger (chewing on cords, eating things that can get stuck in their stomachs, etc…)

Vetting

All dogs rescued by FAVOR are spayed/neutered before adoption, as well as vaccinated for rabies, bortedella, DA2PL (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and parvovirus), and up to date on heart worm, flea, and tick treatment. Puppies WILL require DA2PL 3rd booster shots when age appropriate (between 14-18 weeks of age). It is also recommended to get the lyme vaccine in New England.
