Meet BRUNO
Meet BrUNO
Bruno is a one year old Pekinese/Pomeranian mix who was surrendered to FAVOR due to unforeseen family emergency. He was raised around another dog and kids, and did not suffer from any neglect or abuse. He’s a loving dog, who likes short walks, car rides, fun adventures, and lots of lap cuddles

Temperment
Bruno is your typical small dog. He loves to be with his adult humans, and along for whatever ride, walk, adventure they want to go on. He gets bummed out to be left behind. Like most small dogs, he can be a bit dramatic, like spitting out his monthly preventative medication because he does not like the taste, or scurrying around the house when it’s time to kennel for bedtime.
He was raised with kids, and has no problem with them, but tends to avoid them and scurries away. So while he’d be fine with kids around, we’d love his home to be without full-time kids so he can enjoy all the attention without any of the kid chaos.
Needs
Bruno is best suited to a home that plans to include their dog in every day life. Bruno would love to snuggle at your feet while you work, waiting for a walk to the coffee shop, then walk home for his next nap, followed by a little playtime and fun time.
Adopters should be ready to start PROFESSIONAL training (we can provide recommendations as needed) to work on nice leash manners and heel-side walking, dog socialization, and off-leash fun!
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, we will only consider applicants where one adult has a more flexible schedule, as young dogs are a lot of work, and will require potty breaks, exercise, training and continued human and dog socialization as they grow up.
Training
All dogs rescued by FAVOR are crate trained, sleeping in the crate from 9pm-6am, and accustomed to some day crate time as well. Dogs are also potty trained with doggie door access. There is ALWAYS a transition period where crate cries and potty accidents WILL HAPPEN in a new home, as the dog transitions to new rules and ways to communicate.
As with ANY and ALL dogs, this dog would benefit GREATLY from professional training to continue to work on good leash manners, place command, and off-leash recall. We always recommend keeping young dogs crated when they are alone to keep them putting themselves in danger (chewing on cords, eating things that can get stuck in their stomachs, etc…)
Vetting
All dogs rescued by FAVOR are spayed/neutered and micrchobefore adoption, as well as vaccinated for rabies, bortedella, DA2PL (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and parvovirus). Puppies WILL require DA2PL 3rd booster shots when age appropriate (between 14-18 weeks of age). It is also recommended to get the lyme vaccine in New England. All dogs and up to date on heart worm, flea, and tick treatment.
